Marsha Hatcher #377 @ One Spark

Enough votes would help me to purchase the proper power tools I really need in order to perfect my sculptures.  Although they have generated a lot of interest and I have received nothing but positive feed back, I know that I can improve on the final look.
Remember you must register to vote on beonespark.com prior to the event (before April 17).  Voting and individual contributions open on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at 3pm and end Sunday April 21 at 11am EST.
Each registered voter may cast one vote per entry- voting for as many entries as he or she likes - and is also able to contribute directly to creators.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT AND VOTE

"Ritorubadi" oil by Marsha Hatcher

The blending of two cultures start before we come together as a people.  The things we agree on, the food we eat, the clothes we wear and even who our children play with starts the journey.

I'm still working on this 30 inch 3D piece which will hang on the wall.

What's on my easel you asked?

What I am working on now is this little guy to be added to my never ending series of angels.  Stay tuned.  I have not given this one a name at the moment but it is a 16 x 20 oil on my textured hardboard.

The Ulitmate Act of Love

If you have been following my personal journey as an artist, you should know by now that my creative process shifts like the wind.  Sometime I can be serious about the work I do as an artist and sometime "A girl just want to have fun."
I've completed six abstract paintings I call "Qart" (art based on the QR code).
My inspiration you ask?  Technology! They are all based on that awesome little black and white image that has attached itself to just about everything you buy. They call it the QR bar code. Yes, the one you scan with your bar code app scanner.
Go ahead.  You can scan the image right now to see the true meaning of this piece.
